My residency at Centre SAGAMIE will be divided into two parts, exploring the animating power of printed images. For one part, I'll be working with images taken from video sequences I made a few years ago. They document hollow objects driven by the kinetic force generated by mini-explosions inside them. I'll be creating a series of printed images from these sequences. For the second part, I'll be continuing the research I started last year with microscopy and different species of testate amoebae. These unicellular organisms generate and assemble tests, vase-like shells visible under the microscope. I'll be exploring the creation of a series of images based on their multiple forms, both organic and mineral.
