The micro-publishing residency is intended for artists with a contemporary art practice, the residency will stimulate reflection about publishing as a space for autonomous artistic creation. The artist will be invited to experiment by developing both the literary content as well as the object/book itself, all the while welcoming innovation, transversal practices and hybridizations.
Over the course of the last ten years, Centre SAGAMIE developed an expertise in the field of art publishing with more than 50 book projects completed to date. This residency will provide artists with cutting-edge technological tools, personalized technical support as well as specialized know-how that will be shared with the artists.
The residency is short-term and allows the artist to put together a final project in a small number of copies of which he remains the publisher.
