In partnership with the artist centre Langage Plus and the project Ateliers maraîchers, we welcome this week the artist Diane Laurier.

Ateliers maraîchers is based on a three month residency in immersive stays at the Jardin des Défricheurs in Ferland-et-Boilleau. Following this residency, the body of work, created by the artist and produced at Centre SAGAMIE, will be presented in situ at the home of market gardener Joëlle Gagnon. Printed works will also be presented in the Agora + space, on the door of Langage Plus landing stage, in order to sow current art throughout the seasons. And finally, a publication will report in a visual and written way on the residency and the dissemination of the works in the urban environment as well as at the market gardeners.

After having exhibited mainly installation works in various museums and artist-run centers in Quebec, Diane Laurier began a career as a professor-researcher in Quebec universities. In 2017, she returned to her artistic practice and became co-founder of the Collectif d'art complice, a true laboratory in poetics where artistic practice is a place for sharing and recognizing otherness. Since recently, she has been pursuing individual research in visual arts based mainly on photographic walks. The artist creates installations whose main research axes are related to her quest to make the invisible visible.
