Résidences INTER-CENTRES is an interregional exchange program between Centre SAGAMIE and six artist-run centres that are co-producers of the project and are located in different regions of Quebec, from the shores of the St. Lawrence to Abitibi-Témiscamingue. What these seven partner organizations have in common is their geographic location on the outskirts of major urban centres. Like the centres, the 12 participating artists have also chosen to develop their practice in the regions.
Résidences INTER-CENTRES makes it possible to promote the research of these artists throughout Quebec by focusing on mobility and the sharing of expertise, by providing technical support and by disseminating their work. This program also acts on the development and consolidation of structuring partnerships between organizations in the implementation of a collaborative network of artists' residencies. It allows different audiences and contemporary artists to meet and discover their unique approaches. A group exhibition featuring the works of these 12 artists will be circulated between Centre SAGAMIE and the participating centres.
