This 200-page book offers a visual journey through a selection of digital works by 50 artists who have completed a research/creation residency at Centre SAGAMIE. The book also presents an anthology of theoretical texts by 11 authors recognized in the field of research and development of new technologies. The authors' essays question the various implications of digital production tools on contemporary art creation and the dissemination of works. This major publication therefore provides an overview of the hundreds of artists in residence who have contributed to digital research over the past ten years at Centre SAGAMIE, while deepening theoretical reflection on this emerging artistic medium, which is integrated at all levels of the artists' work. This reference book will therefore significantly advance the understanding of digital art among a wide audience. This publication is made possible thanks to the financial support of CALQ and the CAC.
