This book bears witness to a program of work in visual art developed by the artist Nathalie Lavoie and carried out as part of the 6th International Linen Biennial in Portneuf. In this context, the artist experimented mainly with Indian ink drawings on paper made from stems, seeds and flowers of cultivated flax. She worked for 100 consecutive days with different instructions and precise instructions that led to subtle and interesting pictorial results. This duration corresponds to the cultivation time of the flax plant, from sowing to maturity. The texts and photographs that have been taken reflect a process that has developed over the course of the creation in the manner of a practice journal. In a state of interiorization and particular attention to space and time, the artist has thus sought to make his experience of the present more conscious through an artistic practice. This publication emanates a poetry to which the creative action of linen is intimately linked.
