Her work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions in Canada, the United States, Scotland, Australia and France. Fred Laforge
Through my practice, I have a strong interest in questions of diversity and identity. This has long been expressed through in-depth research into the representation of bodily diversity (people with Down's syndrome, short stature or with various disabilities). This interest is anchored, among other things, in a reflection on commemorative statuary where I question the notion of the heroic figure and the nature of the people who are traditionally commemorated.
Perceptual issues also feed this research, which is why I am interested in the way in which the aesthetic experience encourages the viewer to observe his or her everyday reality differently. My ambition is to bear witness to the ambiguity of perception and to underline the complexity of the human experience. Representation does not only summon visual resemblance, but also a more complex sensory and cognitive experience.
